What 749 Bureau? I'm the Imperial Astronomer!

Shocking! Black and White Impermanence spotted on the roof of a hospital in Island City.

A patient who had been bedridden for years was so frightened he sprang to his feet and ran, while a beautiful nurse was left trembling in shock?

An investigation later revealed that the figures were a "cosplay" by Yuan Ye, a first-year student at Ocean University~

When Bureau 749 heard about it, they even rushed over with an appointment letter that very night?

Yuan Ye: "What Bureau 749? I'm a Director of the Astronomical Bureau!"

The Astronomical Bureau was established in the third year of Hongwu.

It is said that Liu Bowen, its first director, received an imperial decree to survey the mountains and rivers and sever every dragon vein in the land to ensure the Ming dynasty would endure forever.

After twenty-seven Ming and Qing emperors came and went, the bureau finally ceased to exist in the third year of Xuantong, having lasted 542 years in all.

But the bureau did not originate in the Ming dynasty. As early as the Shang and Zhou dynasties, officials known as grand historians observed the heavens above and surveyed the earth's veins below.

During the Zhenguan era of the Tang dynasty, the diviners Yuan Tiangang and Li Chunfeng compiled the Tui Bei Tu, glimpsing the rise and fall of dynasties.

Dynasties came and went, and government offices vanished, but the Astronomical Bureau's mission to suppress evil and guard the land never ended.

The Yuan and Li families passed down secret ancient arts and worked in tandem with the modern Bureau 749.

They stopped mountain spirits and strange beasts, kept otherworldly specters from wreaking havoc among humanity, and sealed rifts between parallel worlds to prevent monsters from pouring into the present day.

The young Yuan Ye carries the family's long-lost Five Elements Heavenly Book. In this age, he will once again protect the world!
