I wrote a comment: "Someone like this should disappear."
The next day, he was really dead.
Thinking it was a coincidence, I tried another: "I hope she regrets it."
The next day, my ex-girlfriend called me in tears. Her wedding was off.
That's when I realized: every comment I wrote came true.
But each time one came true, I had to lose something.
First my sense of taste. Then color. Then my grandmother's face.
I opened an app called "The Ledger." It read: Cumulative Cost: 8/100.
When it reaches 100, a piece of me will disappear.
I can't delete my comments.
Writing one about myself doesn't work.
My grandmother took a disaster meant for me and passed away.
Now the System has its eye on my mother.
Someone told me there was a way to get everything back:
Write something "big," and make one person disappear from everyone's memory.
I pressed Send.
