Synopsis

A recent graduate of Haishi Normal University heads into the mountains of Beisheng Province with a pen in hand. Through slow-moving military post, she and a frontline border-defense company commander become beacons for each other. Amid the sweeping tides of the times from 1983 to 1987, four years of youth transform the fate of an entire mountain village and countless children from humble families. A sweeping portrait of real life.
