Setting Up a Stall with a Three-Year-Old Dragon Cub, Making All the Old Monsters Drool

Kicked out with nothing, behind on rent, and unable to afford a meal, with a hungry little dragon in his arms? Lin Yuan sets up an iron wok and opens a breakfast stall, laying down just two ironclad rules: pay before you eat, and no fighting in front of the kid!

A basket of pan-fried buns comes off the stove, and the eight-hundred-year-old tiger demon next door is instantly healed of an old heart injury. It grabs a broom, sobbing as it sweeps the floor.

One bowl of sweet fermented-rice soup later, a nine-tailed spirit fox sprouts its tails in the middle of the street and smacks some troublemaking thugs into the air, then turns around and gently comforts the child.

An ancient Daoist inspector tries a spoonful of eight-treasure porridge, snaps his magic sword on the spot, and gladly stays in the back courtyard to chop wood and stack it!

When his haughty ex-wife arrives with a check for tens of millions to fight for custody, she finds the city's power brokers and reclusive old monsters lined up outside the little stall, all eager to become Xiao Nuonuo's godparents.

His ex-wife stares in disbelief. "He's just a breakfast vendor. How did he get the big shots of the whole city to become babysitters?!"

Lin Yuan taps his iron ladle. "Customer, get in line. Don't block my daughter's way to her buns."
