Me on My Sickbed, Orchestrating Three Thousand Years of Myth

An Outer God descends, and the declaration that the nation will fall in ninety days rings across Daxia. More than six thousand people are trapped in the East Sea Shelter.

In the intensive care unit, young scholar Lu Chuan borrows a phone. “Don't kneel. There's someone in the East Sea.”

No one knows that three years ago, after finding an ancient bell, he had already burned away his remaining years again and again to return to the ancient past, lost to history.

He helped Yu the Great measure the rivers and cast the Nine Tripods, left a protective sword formation with Tongtian, and helped Houtu find a path of reincarnation that should never have trapped anyone.

Three thousand years later, a bronze tripod breaks through the sea, Yinglong bows its head, and a million armored soldiers behind Mount Tai's gate answer the call in unison.

The world thinks he summoned reinforcements. Only when the bell's markings reveal that he has just sixty days left to live do they learn that these old friends are the escape route he personally left for future generations.

But Lu Chuan only wants to bring the myths into the modern world's lights, rulers, and water networks, so Daxia will never again have to rely on a dying man to survive.

This time, his ancient friends will protect his country, and the 1.4 billion people of the present will also make sure he has a way home.
