Thirty-two-year-old Chen Yan has spent three years running a gemstone business in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka's City of Gems.
Every day, he travels between the market and the mines, picking out rough stones and dealing with mine owners and merchants from all over. He knows the local customs and cuisine, and leads a fulfilling life as a merchant abroad.
By chance, Chen Yan obtains the mysterious [Treasure Hunting Record].
His peaceful routine now has another possibility. In his spare time, he follows clues into mountains and valleys, searching for lost relics and rare creatures, and venturing into one untouched secret place after another.
On one side are the lively everyday dealings of the gemstone trade; on the other, journeys of discovery full of unknowns. And so begins a treasure-hunting story that spans the world.
