My Soul-Collecting KPI Is Through the Roof! My Reward Is a Fox Demon Husband

Shang Budo died an infuriating death. She spent half the night setting up a formation, every detail perfect, only for a stone to fall from the sky and knock its guiding stone out of place. The formation reversed and sent her to her death instead.

Things were even more infuriating in the underworld. While waiting in line to be reincarnated, she saw the ghost officials cramming the wrongly and violently dead into random bodies. Some were reborn as pigs and slaughtered, some as dogs and stewed, and some cultivated into demons, doomed never to reincarnate.

She didn't want to be a pig.

So she stole a ghost official's clothes and made a run for it.

Her daily tasks were to rescue souls from slaughterhouses, snatch people from demon cages, and perform rites for unlucky ghosts whose flesh had been eaten, all while earning money to buy back her sect's land deed.

Later, an unexplained little white fox joined her, too.

Soft fur, haughty, and with a nasty bite. After three days of feeding it, she couldn't get rid of it.

But nobody told her the little fox would turn into a crybaby when it took human form!
