She transmigrates into a book as a maid and throws her weight around, running riot through the capital.
Modern girl Su Yuan wakes up as a doomed maid who dies by the Grand Princess's side.
According to the original story, she is supposed to watch the princess get deceived by her scumbag husband, tormented by her wicked mother-in-law, and poisoned by her scheming concubine, before mistress and maid both meet a gruesome end.
Then the emperor dies of grief for his beloved daughter, the young crown prince is usurped, and the dynasty is overthrown overnight.
Su Yuan: ???
I'm just cannon fodder. How did I end up with such a heavy burden?
What can I do? Save them, of course!
Luckily, her System comes through with rewards that get more outrageous by the day: Buddha's Palm, Tell the Loyal from the Treacherous, Throwing Her Weight Around, and Unbreakable Loyalty.
And so, the skies over Great Yu change.
The scumbag's family wants to use the princess as a stepping stone? I'll scatter your ashes!
The Countess of the Earl's estate has murdered people, and the dry well is full of bones? Drag her out and execute her!
My stepmother accuses me of bringing ruin to my parents and being a lone star of ill fortune? Fine, I'll make sure you lose your whole family first!
Consort Shu wants me dead? The whip bestowed on me by His Majesty is no mere decoration!
From the marquis's estate to the imperial palace, from the capital to the court, Su Yuan goes on a face-slapping rampage, putting scumbags in their place.
She helps the Grand Princess wake up and divorce her husband, helps the young crown prince ascend the throne, and helps the gravely ill emperor purge treacherous officials. Along the way, she sends a rebellious prince to the imperial prison.
From a seventh-rank court official to a first-rank female regent, she gets by with her System cheat and a mouth that can infuriate anyone to death.
"If I'm not going to throw my weight around, then what's the point of having power?"
"My mistress told me to deal with you!"
"Whether you submit or not doesn't matter. As long as my princess is happy."
