After Transmigrating Into a Book as an Extra, I Became a Legendary Healer

Su Nian, a clinical medicine student, dies suddenly and transmigrates into a book, becoming an unnamed passerby who dies of plague in a historical romance.

The Benevolent Healer System comes online. She earns merit by saving lives and unlocks medical skills and knowledge of medicinal herbs, with no miraculous elixirs.

A plague is about to strike the town, and no one knows what to do.

The villagers doubt a woman can practice medicine, doctors look down on her, and local gentry threaten her. Su Nian relies on nothing but her medical skills to save lives.

When the original story's protagonists fall ill and seek treatment, she takes their money and treats them, keeping her distance and refusing to get involved in the struggle for the throne.

She builds a medical clinic, takes on apprentices, and travels to plague-stricken regions to provide relief.

She turns down all offers of high office and wealth, as well as summonses from the palace.

She has no desire for power at court. Her only wish is to heal the world.

When the original story's love, hatred, and political schemes come to an end, the medical tradition she leaves behind is passed down for generations, and she is revered as the Saint of Medicine.
