Other people get a Starter Pokémon from the start, but Chen Mo falls into Paldea's forbidden zone of life and becomes a dead man erased from the records of the entire League!
After ten years of clawing his way back to the world of the living, all he wants is to be a simple farmer in a cornfield. Unfortunately, the four mutated companions at his side have all fought their way out of mountains of corpses and seas of blood, and each is a berserk nuclear bomb liable to turn on him at any moment!
In the bottom-right corner of his vision, a death notice flashes frantically: [Blood Crystal Rhyperior's berserk level is 82%. If it doesn't consume fifty grams of Life Mineral Salts within 72 hours, it will slaughter every living thing indiscriminately!]
To scrape together the fortune needed for life-saving medicine, Chen Mo picks up his rusty toolbox and heads out of the mountains.
And then...
Rhyperior stomps a berserk Arbok to pieces, then sticks it with a bloodletting injection. The forest patrol captain drops to his knees and calls him senior on the spot!
A tycoon's second son brings eight vicious dogs to force a deal? Shadow Sableye's bone claws swell to a meter long, wiping out everyone in an instant and breaking the legs of all eight bodyguards!
At the black market, he spots three hundred thousand yuan worth of ancient mineral-salt motherlode hidden inside a worthless lump of coal slag selling for just twenty thousand!
When Team Rocket blasts through the dome to seize the mineral salts, Chen Mo sighs and pats the bloodthirsty, roaring beast behind him. "I was planning to keep a low profile and farm. Since you've come right to my door... Old buddy, it's dinner time!"
