About Going to the Demon Realm to Run an Everything Shop

[Healing] [The Gentle Warmth of Natsume's Book of Friends] [Protection and Growth]

"Gently watching a meeting goodbye, knowing the parting is inevitable."

The forest of Kamuwadai is a strange place. Here, Harumi took one step and entered the mysterious Taishan Realm, which did not belong to the present world.

In a world where humans and yōkai coexist, Harumi went from being afraid to finding her courage, and from wanting only to protect herself to reaching out to help others. It turned out that even mighty yōkai had a hard time of it... Facepalm.

Harumi was a scapegoated office worker. After being betrayed by her boss and boyfriend and running out of savings, she found herself in dire straits and went to work at the Oakleaf Garden guesthouse.

Everything about the guesthouse was unusual. The security manager was a white dog... No, a ground wolf. The long-term guests had incredibly strange personalities. What? You say he's a mountain god and a great yōkai?

Later, she realized the yōkai world wasn't all that scary. It mostly involved being grabbed by the throat and warned by the god Ni Wei, "Tell anyone about what happens here, and I'll crush you."

She nodded, then turned around and put on a concert for a little yōkai who'd lost its voice and couldn't sing; sent a letter for an old monster who longed for the human world; and helped Madam Zi, who was obsessed with scents, collect perfumes...

She thought she was helping them. Only later did she realize she was the one being helped.

This is a story about growth and belief. For our whole lives, we are learning how to love.

"There is only one kind of heroism in the world: to continue loving life after seeing what it is really like." - Romain Rolland
