We'd Already Consummated the Marriage Before You Told Me He's the Demon Cult Leader!?

After transmigrating to the Great Yu, Jiang Li is barely out of her engagement to the top scholar when a perverted eunuch takes a fancy to her and tries to buy her by force as a bride to bring him good fortune. The authorities also enforce a harsh law: if a woman won't marry, they force her to wed some ugly man!

To save her life, Jiang Li picks up a sickly, handsome man by the roadside, his eyes covered with white silk and blood pouring from his mouth, and drags him straight to the wedding hall. "Don't be afraid. I'll protect you from now on. Marry me, and I'll make sure you have plenty to eat and drink!"

After the wedding, her blind husband is gentle and obedient, while Jiang Li earns money to support the family. Their little life is thriving.

Her scumbag former fiance comes looking for trouble, and the very next day someone clubs him with a sack and breaks three of his legs. The eunuch tries to take her by force, but that very night a fire breaks out at his house, leaving his family ruined and dead.

Jiang Li thinks she's blessed with incredible luck. Then one day, her blind husband, who can't even take care of himself, removes the white silk. With the corpses of villains strewn around his feet, he wipes the blood from his sword, turns to her, and clings to her with a pitiful look. "Wife, those people were so scary. I was terrified."

The Demon Cult's protectors, who had been disguised as vegetable sellers and old barbers all around them, cover their faces in horror. "Cult Master, please shut up!"
