Cat-Eared Tanjiro Is the Demon Slayer Corps' Favorite

[All for Tanjiro+No Angst or Tragedy+Making Up for Past Regrets+Happy Ending]

Kamado Tanjiro is reborn with memories of his past life, returning to the day before his family is slaughtered. He desperately saves them, but Muzan Kibutsuji turns him into a demon. Cat ears sprout from his head and a cat tail trails behind him, yet strangely, he neither eats people nor fears sunlight.

When Tomioka Giyu comes up the mountain, Tanjiro says, "Protect my family first, then kill me." Giyu's heart softens, and he takes Tanjiro back to the Demon Slayer Corps, where he's confined to the Butterfly Mansion.

Everyone is wary of him, so he cooks porridge, makes meals, steams sweet bean buns, reminds Zenitsu and Inosuke to take their medicine, keeps Kanao company, makes porridge for the busy Shinobu, cooks salmon with radish for Giyu, and steams sweet bean buns for Mitsuri.

What he wants is simple: to make sure everyone who died in his previous life stays alive.
