Investiture of the Gods: Reborn as a Gibbon Ape, I Refuse to Be the Four Wastes Star

Synopsis: Yuan Hong, a young man from the modern era, dies unexpectedly. His soul transmigrates into the Investiture of the Gods, where he becomes Yuan Hong, the Long-Armed Gibbon, one of the Four Monkeys of Chaos!

He knows all too well that his original self was destined to die after the Immortal Slaying Flying Knife chopped off his head. A wisp of his true spirit would then be placed on the Investiture of the Gods, earning him the title of Star of the Four Wastes.

Yuan Hong has no intention of following his predecessor's path. He plans to lie low on Meishan and stay out of sight until the Investiture calamity is over. But just then, he awakens the Primordial Sign-In System.

[Ding! The Primordial Sign-In System has been successfully bound. Congratulations, Host, you have received the initial rewards: the Heaven-Devouring Demonic Art and one hundred thousand years of cultivation!]

[Ding! Host, please go to the peak of Meishan to sign in. Completion rewards: Sky-Pillar White Jade Column, Radiant Golden Coiled Dragon Armor, Cloud-Patterned Air-Treading Boots, Black Dragon Pearl-Crested Crown, and ten thousand years of cultivation.]

[Ding! Host, please go to the Heavenly Court to sign in. Completion rewards: Star Fruit Tree, Star Dou Great Array, and twenty thousand years of cultivation.]

Yuan Hong wants to be a master of lying low, but he realizes the System is pushing him into the calamity. Looking at one sign-in reward after another, he steels himself:

"Since I can't avoid it, I might as well join the Heavenly Court before the great calamity and secure a good position first!"
