After Becoming a Sacrifice, I Used the Classic of Mountains and Seas to Deceive Heaven and Change My Fate

P.S. The story starts slowly, with a carefully built world.

Lu Li is a modern scholar of ancient texts, well versed in the surviving real-world versions of the Classic of Mountains and Seas, which he believes to be nothing more than ancient mythology and geographical curiosities.

After transmigrating, he is shocked to discover that the true, primeval world of mountains and seas has undergone a terrifying transformation. Every line in the surviving Classic of Mountains and Seas is, here, a literal "conceptual death rule" or a "source of flesh-and-blood corruption."

Meanwhile, its records of mountains, rivers, and mineral deposits; the effects of strange beasts (eat their flesh to resist poison, or use their hides as bedding to ward off parasites); and sacrificial rites (bury auspicious jade, use millet) are the only survival guide for finding objects to seal away horrors, creating a balance of death laws, and even deceiving the rules.

From the Taotie of the Northern Mountains and Shaohao's lost zither in the Eastern Mountains, to the headless Xing Tian of Changyang Mountain, the Queen Mother of the West at Kunlun, and the peak of Jianmu...

Lu Li holds a long spear tipped with a Bo horn in reverse, while behind him a golden coffin stretching ten thousand feet slams shut.

"I'm no saint sent to save the world. But if all the gods and Buddhas in these mountains have gone mad, then I'll set new rules for this vast land of mountains and seas!"
