[Western Fantasy] + [Eastern setting]
On the eve of his departure for war, I threaded my engagement ring onto his necklace:
"You promised you'd come back alive and marry me. Just try dying."
He smiled. "If I come back alive, we'll have a proper wedding."
But he never came back.
"You have to get married."
Then, just days before the wedding, the man who had been dead for a year appeared at my door.
The ring I'd given him still hung around his neck.
He thought I'd forgotten him.
Even the flowers in the flowerbed, whose language meant "true love," had been replaced.
But he didn't know I'd spent a whole year begging everyone.
He didn't know I'd been forced into this wedding, either.
He promised he'd come back alive and marry me.
He kept his promise, but fate went back on its word.
His uncle, who had stolen everything from him, had probably forgotten one thing:
People who come back alive from a battlefield are hard to kill.
