There is a small world inside the Map of Mountains and Rivers. Bai Yu enters it and meets a cold and solitary fellow cultivator.
The two travel together, growing more in sync with each passing day.
Then a sudden turn of events sends Bai Yu back to the real world. At last, he gets another chance to enter! He reunites with his old friend, but somehow things between them have changed.
His fellow cultivator seems intent on keeping his distance. Bai Yu can't figure out why...
