2148 CE.
A global earthquake a century ago reduced the old world to ruins. Fewer than five hundred million people survived, retreating to eleven supercities whose names all began with "New." Supplies were rationed, and the Seven Sages' order kept desire firmly in check: when you looked in the mirror, you were supposed to see only yourself.
But on the other side of the mirror, another world existed.
It was the Mirror Realm, formed from human desire and faith. At its center lay the sacred domain of the Seven Sages, surrounded by ten domains of sin. Each was home to beings named for the deadly sins: Lust, Wrath, Envy, Gluttony, Sloth, Greed, and Pride. They whispered from beyond the glass, reflecting the desires you were most reluctant to admit. Once they forged a blood pact with someone, sharing life and death, they could cross through a mirror gate into the human world and lend their power to their Host.
During the "Disorder Rebellion" nineteen years ago, all Seven Sins were slain, and four of the Sages died and returned to their source. Official history says they will never come back.
Yet in New Chengdu, an antique mirror retired from a museum was delivered to the room of Lin Jing, the wrestling team's captain.
A woman in the mirror smiled at him.
"You've won so many times. Why are you still afraid to look at yourself?"
Mirrors never lie. They simply show you what you want most, along with the price you must pay.
The Seven Sins have opened their eyes again. This time, will the chosen ones sign their names?
