They Say I’m Not Worthy

No. 734, Lu Chen. Overall value rating: 17 points. Recommended action: Reclaim and dismantle. Countdown: 11 hours, 59 minutes.

I pried open the terminal's back panel and changed the rating to 18. Just one more point, but enough to meet the starship recruitment threshold.

They said I had no value, but with a single wrench, I repaired the curvature engine that AI couldn't fix.

They said I was a piece of junk, but in three days, I taught a group of "useless people" how to grow meat.

They said profit was the universe's only rule. Standing amid the ruins of the outpost, I lit up the entire sea of stars with nuclear fusion.

From being made redundant to building starships, from "you're not worthy" to "they need me."

They said I wasn't qualified.

Then I'll use this wrench to make the whole universe ask: What do you need?
