The All-Round Cook, Starting with Passing the Civil Service Exam

[Cooking God System, female-oriented, with a couple. The male lead is an important figure, and romance isn't a major focus; the story is mainly about her career.]

At Tianji Prison in S City, Country A, all the inmates are said to be heinous criminals.

Yun Yan, a student at a key provincial agricultural university, passed the civil service exam and successfully became a cook at Tianji Prison.

Of course, it wasn't her choice. She was assigned to the position. The prison cook job had been filled through assignments for years, and most cooks lasted less than two months before the picky inmates drove them away.

Yun Yan had been planning to give up and retake the exam, but she was bound to the “Cooking God System.” Whenever someone was genuinely satisfied with her food, she could exchange their “satisfaction points” for money, assets, and skills.

Yun Yan had no idea whether it was real, but she gritted her teeth and stayed. Before long, the food she made had every prison big shot, colleague, and supervisor singing her praises. The balance in her bank account rose gratifyingly, her real estate holdings kept growing, and she even earned the genuine protection of a crowd of big shots. Their catchphrase became, “You can mess with anyone you want, just don't touch the cook!”
