Water Margin: Overthrowing the Song Dynasty Through a System Exploit

Song Jiang, a transmigrator, gets tricked by a System riddled with loopholes. He chooses to take out a huge loan from Grand Marshal Gao, lie flat, and wait to die, but ends up making life miserable for Yue Xiu, a native who is left holding the bag.

Yue Xiu has never read the original Water Margin, has no omniscient perspective and no beginner's guide. He can only make decisions based on the System's fragmentary hints. By exploiting its loopholes, he pulls off all kinds of absurd schemes, making him the strictest father the System could ever have.

The immortals behind the System watch from heaven, half amused and half exasperated.

"Your Reverence!" The Nine Heavens Mysterious Maiden could no longer stand it. She said to the Great Emperor of Longevity, "The System for Protecting the Nation and Pacifying the People has so many loopholes, it's like tossing a meat bun to a dog. Shouldn't we launch the Heavenly Book System as soon as possible and choose another protagonist?"

"No!" The Great Emperor of Longevity shook his head. "The System for Protecting the Nation and Pacifying the People can still be salvaged!"

The Nine Heavens Mysterious Maiden pointed toward the mortal realm, at a loss whether to laugh or cry. "This kid's mistakes are just too absurd. The System told him to bring down Gao Qiu, but instead he introduced the emperor to a demonic Taoist state preceptor, adding yet another treacherous minister who will wreak havoc at court!"

"..." The Great Emperor of Longevity fell silent for a long while, then sighed. "This kid is far too outrageous. If one volume of the Heavenly Book isn't enough, give him several more!"

The Nine Heavens Mysterious Maiden bowed. "I've already picked a candidate for the protagonist. Song Jiang, the Timely Rain of Shandong, should do nicely."

"Song Jiang, the Timely Rain? We gave him a chance before, and he couldn't do it either, could he?"

"Last time, we gave him too few volumes of the Heavenly Book. If we give him a few more, he'll definitely manage!"

"Then it's settled! Send the Heavenly Books at once! Five volumes! No, ten! If we wait any longer, that kid Yue Xiu will wreck the Great Song and bring it to ruin!"
