The Campus Heartthrob Is Always Secretly Watching Me

Two male leads, sweet campus romance, straightforward top student seme x slow-to-catch-on mixed-race beauty uke

On the day new students arrive at Haida University, Xu Chi, a freshman in the Fine Arts Department, sets the campus message boards ablaze with his looks.

Ink-black hair falls to his waist, and a pair of clear, deep-sea-blue eyes are strikingly beautiful. His features blend a boy's cool elegance with delicate charm. So beautiful it's hard to tell if he's male or female, he makes passersby turn their heads again and again, asking which department the beauty belongs to.

As student council president and the host of the welcome gala, Cheng Chen has always been composed and self-possessed. But the first time he spots Xu Chi in the audience, his heart races for the first time in twenty years.

He realizes with absolute clarity that he has fallen in love at first sight with this new student.

As if fate had arranged it, Cheng Chen returns to his dorm and is surprised to discover that Xu Chi lives right across the hall. Their glass windows face each other, so all it takes is a glance to see the other's silhouette. Separated by a pane of glass, their undeniable attraction is right before their eyes.

Cheng Chen launches his pursuit: saving Xu Chi a seat in morning classes, keeping him company while he paints, and delivering all three meals on time. He's so considerate that there's no escaping his attentions. Yet Xu Chi is completely clueless about romance and sees Cheng Chen as nothing more than a loyal, big-brotherly friend, never picking up on the slightest hint of flirtation.

It isn't until a gathering with friends, when the alcohol goes to his head, that Cheng Chen gazes at Xu Chi's flushed ears and says in a voice hot and hoarse:

"Xu Chi, I like you. Will you be my boyfriend?"
