The Divine Path has collapsed, and the Demonic Path flourishes. With his own strength, the Profound Heaven Sage Lord has slain so many demons that they dare not casually annex the surviving remnants of the Divine Path. Yet he cannot escape betrayal by those closest to him.
In the end, his friend saves a wisp of his remaining soul by using a blood-forging ritual to merge it with the body of their unborn child. This act fulfills the Profound Heaven Sage Lord's old, vicious oath: "If I ever deceive them, I'll be their son in my next life!"
