In the late 21st century, the nations of Blue Star no longer waged wars or invaded one another. The long-awaited peace had finally arrived.
At the same time, humanity ventured beyond the solar system for the first time and truly witnessed the vastness of the universe.
But exploring the universe was not entirely safe. It could attract powerful, hostile beings. To protect their home, the nations of Blue Star jointly established a response organization: the Blue Star Joint Planetary Defense Department for the Security and Peace of All Nations (BGPD).
One day, a gigantic space monster broke through the space defenses and reached Blue Star. The Defense Department failed to intercept it. The monster landed in a city and used its abilities to transport monsters to Blue Star, controlling them to wreak havoc alongside the planet's native monsters. Just then, after a disturbance in space, an unknown giant stone statue suddenly appeared. The monster turned to attack it.
At this critical moment, Xie Nian was watching the livestream when he heard the statue calling to him. He became a ray of light and entered the giant stone statue. Thus, Ultraman Tiga awakened!
