I Can't Smell My Nemesis's Pheromones

Cheng Shu is a Beta and can't smell pheromones.

The person he hates most is named Wen Jiming, an Omega.

Last year, a campus showcase was postponed over safety concerns. The flaw Cheng Shu pointed out was real, and Wen Jiming was right to question the conclusions in his report in front of everyone. From then on, they were at odds, unable to stand the sight of each other.

Then, at the start of the new semester, an interdepartmental project put them in the same studio.

By day, they fought over data and blueprints. At night, they even had to compete when they played ball. Neither would give in, and neither ever thought of backing down first.

After the project ended, Cheng Shu realized something was off.

When he saw something funny, he wanted to send it to Wen Jiming.

When he lost a game, he wanted to hear Wen Jiming scold him.

When Wen Jiming got a little close to someone else, he would inexplicably feel unhappy.

But the problem was

He was a Beta. He couldn't even smell Wen Jiming's pheromones.

So when exactly had he fallen for this sworn enemy?

**From being unable to stand each other to being unable to bear missing each other.**

They had no natural attraction through pheromones, and couldn't complete an Alpha-style marking.

But liking someone never needed to be proven with a mark.
