In the Age of Declining Dharma, spiritual energy has dried up, but ghosts and monsters are growing more numerous. Ghost-hunting livestreams have become a booming profession. Su Yan is the hottest streamer in the business, with an impressive track record and tens of millions of fans. His only bit of scandal is that his ex-boyfriend dumped him in public three years ago.
"Hello, everyone. Today's job takes us to... my ex-boyfriend's haunted house."
Su Yan kicks the door open, only to discover that the client is his ex-boyfriend, Pei Xun. Pei Xun is dead, but his ghost is still clinging to the haunted house, refusing to leave.
Even stranger, Pei Xun's ghost has no resentment at all. Instead, he asks to join Su Yan's livestream as a "paranormal consultant."
"I owed you an explanation when I was alive. Now that I'm dead, I can't run away anymore. Ask me whatever you want."
Su Yan sneers. "I don't want an explanation. I just want to send you on your way."
Pei Xun smiles. "You can't send me on my way. The cause of my death is still unknown, and the killer... is among your fans."
A paranormal livestream turns into a murder mystery. The live chat is full of fans, onlookers, and the killer.
What Su Yan doesn't know is that Pei Xun dumped him back then because someone threatened to take his life.
