Synopsis

[Journey to the West spin-off] [Fantasy imagination] [Transmigration fan fiction] [Three Kingdoms crossover] [Cultivation comeback] [Gods and demons battle]

[Three Kingdoms warrior Lu Bu and Great Sage Equal to Heaven Sun Wukong]

"A true man lives beneath heaven and earth. How can he languish in a place like this for long?"

After Cao Cao killed him, the Three Kingdoms warrior Lu Bu transmigrated into the world of Journey to the West. Having stayed on Flower Fruit Mountain for far too long, he was bored.

He was a great man who stood tall beneath heaven and earth. How could he waste his life idling away in a place like this?

So he set off alone in a small boat, intending to reach the nearest mainland from Flower Fruit Mountain.

Who could have known that Sun Wukong's birth would capsize Lu Bu's little boat? Fortunately, a kind boatman came along and managed to rescue him.

Lu Bu settled temporarily in a village. Only after speaking with some knowledgeable villagers did he learn that it was now the Spring and Autumn period.

Lu Bu was from the Three Kingdoms period. He knew about the Spring and Autumn period, but how could he know what happened after the Tang dynasty?

So he had never heard about Sun Wukong's later havoc in Heaven, his imprisonment beneath Five Elements Mountain, or his escorting Tang Sanzang on the journey west to seek Buddhist scriptures.

Later, through a twist of fate, he was taken to Heaven and put to work for the Grand Supreme Elderly Lord.

At first, life was peaceful and uneventful. But a day in Heaven was a year in the mortal world, and Sun Wukong's arrival shattered Heaven's tranquility.

His later rampage through Heaven even affected the Grand Supreme Elderly Lord's domain. As one of the Lord's employees, Lu Bu naturally couldn't let Sun Wukong get away with stealing immortal pills, so he descended to the mortal world to hunt him down.

That was the first time he had ever left Heaven.

Later, he discovered that even with his newfound cultivation, he still couldn't beat Sun Wukong. The main problem was that his weapon was no good: it broke after just one hit.

So he went to the Dragon King of the Eastern Sea and asked him for a new one...

I Want Pure Journey to the West, Not Primordial Chaos

Are there any straightforward Journey to the West stories? I want mythology, not a sequel to the Primordial World. Ideally, the protagonist should be original, and Tang Sanzang should be decisive and ruthless, cultivating his own Buddhism rather than becoming one of those bald Western monks.
