After the dynasty fell, Princess Chang Lili was left to fend for herself. She failed to watch where she was looking and saw something she shouldn't have. The scheming man threatened her in a chilling voice: "Keep your life or keep your tongue. Pick one."
She was terrified. "C-could I keep you instead?"
His words were full of traps. "What use would you be?"
"I'm useful, I'm useful!" Chang Lili nodded furiously, shamelessly listing her virtues. "I can cook, make weapons for the military, and entertain you when you're bored."
"Oh? How would you entertain me?"
Under his blatant stare, Chang Lili's heart raced. Sensing danger, she turned to run. "It seems Your Highness isn't interested, then I'll be off!"
Unexpectedly, the man grabbed her and her bundle and pulled them back. He leaned in close. "I'm interested. Very interested. Lili is so eager to leave, and that makes me very happy."
