In the year 2099 of the Blue Star calendar, thirty years after the rifts between worlds appeared, humanity entered the era of high martial arts.
On Awakening Day, Lin Bei is tested as F-rank, and the whole school bursts into laughter. His ex-girlfriend Su Qingyue publicly breaks off their engagement and throws herself into the arms of Zhao Tianyu, an A+-rank genius.
That night, Zhao Tianyu sends a C-rank thug to cripple him. On the brink of death, Lin Bei awakens the [Plunder System]: defeat a target and permanently plunder one of their cultivation, martial arts, talents, or supernatural abilities.
In his first plunder, he steals all of the thug's cultivation, immediately advances to Martial Apprentice, and turns the tables with a face-slapping comeback.
Three days later, at the martial arts exam, A+-rank Zhao Tianyu stands on the platform with a cold sneer. Lin Bei steps up, and the System panel lights up:
"Available plunder target: Thunder Spirit Physique (A+-rank talent). Plunder?"
He looks up and smiles.
"I'll take your Thunder Spirit Physique."
