Year Nine of Wude. Mount Cuihua.
Shen Mu is just about to go for a wild swim when Yuchi Gong grabs him and ties him up.
Looking at Li Shimin, unconscious from heatstroke, Shen Mu uses the System to wake him right up.
"Your Highness, how about taking Xuanwu Gate in just three days?"
Shen Mu lays out a plan for Li Shimin, Prince of Qin, to seize the throne.
The Xuanwu Gate Incident ends in a way no one could have imagined.
Shen Mu thinks he'll enjoy a leisurely life as a landlord from here on out.
But then he realizes:
This Tang dynasty is too poor, and its people suffer too much.
There's not enough food, the roads are terrible, and goods are transported on people's backs and horses' backs. When droughts or cold disasters strike, the people can only leave their fate to heaven.
"Old Li, court intrigues are pointless."
"Let's build infrastructure and make this a Tang dynasty powered by industry."
From roads and irrigation to steel, coal, and machinery...
One challenge after another from the ages lies ahead.
Shen Mu's task is to set this Tang dynasty, fresh out of a time of chaos, on a different path ahead of its time.
The writing at the beginning is really messy. I met the plot well, but it turned out to be a sword-fight.
It doesn't feel like something a normal person could write. Plot. Why tie it up? Shouldn't we kill people? How harmonious do you think ancient times were?
