As the First Emperor lay critically ill at Shaqiu, he received fourteen state letters sent by his descendants in Huaxia in 2026. They told him he would die at Shaqiu, Zhao Gao would falsify an imperial edict, and the dynasty would fall after the reign of the Second Emperor. He defied fate and changed his destiny: he executed Zhao Gao, installed Fusu as heir, reformed harsh laws, promoted salt and iron production and farming, and redirected military merit toward land reclamation, using flesh and blood to withstand history's power to correct itself. But historical records would eventually erase all traces on the surface. Only relics buried underground could cross two thousand years.
