My Adorable Baby Paints Everything with a Magic Brush, Bringing Wealth to the Whole Family in a Year of Famine

[1980s Setting] [Adorable Three-Year-Old] [A Magic Brush Brings Drawings to Life] [Beloved by the Whole Family] [Get Rich by Foraging in the Mountains]

In the depths of winter, three-year-old Fubao was burning up, her little face bright red. But her own grandmother called her a "money-losing burden" and threw her and her mother out of the house.

Her mother carried her back to her maternal grandparents' home, but they were nearly starving too. Her eldest uncle was so poor that his engagement had been called off, her second uncle had broken his leg and couldn't afford treatment, and her third uncle was on the verge of dropping out of school.

Even so, this family turned their last bit of brown sugar into water and spoon-fed it to her one mouthful at a time.

Fubao hugged the bald brush in her arms.

They were kind to her, so she would make sure they all had enough to eat!

Nobody knew that this scruffy little brush, missing half its bristles, could make anything she drew come true!

She drew a fat mushroom on the ground, and beneath the thick snow, a whole patch of lion's mane mushrooms appeared.

She drew an X in the air, and the three wild pheasants flying away came tumbling down.

A three-hundred-jin wild boar charged at her eldest uncle. In a hurry, she drew a square and said in her baby voice, "Fall in!" The ground beneath the boar instantly collapsed into a deep pit!

Even the nasty old woman who looked down on the poor and came to demand meat was stung all over her face by a wasp nest Fubao had secretly drawn!

Other people went into the mountains and hoped for luck. The Lin family brought a child and came back with baskets overflowing.

They had money for her uncles' tuition and her second uncle's treatment, and the fragrance of meat at home grew richer by the day. Her mother even joined her uncles in building their mountain-produce business all the way into the city!

The whole family called Fubao a born lucky star, each vying to hold her in their arms.

Fubao hid her little brush and yawned against her mother's shoulder.

She couldn't draw anymore today.

Once she woke up, she'd take her mother into the mountains to find more good things!
