His master entered seclusion, and his three senior brothers went traveling.
Lu Chenxing, the most doted-on junior brother, was expelled from the sect after destroying a formation to save someone. Then someone hired an assassin to cripple his hands.
He went to the Western Wastelands.
He could hear the flaws in the force behind a blade, but being able to hear them didn't mean he could win a fight.
Then he'd train until he could win.
He fought for secret techniques and faced powerful enemies, claiming first place at the Banner Assembly with nothing but a short blade. He would make the name his sect had erased known throughout the Western Wastelands.
When his senior brothers finally tracked him down by following his name, they discovered that their junior brother could already stand on his own.
But the old case against their sect remained unresolved, and the home that had once sheltered them was being destroyed.
In the past, his senior brothers had protected him.
This time, he would fight back alongside them.
"Senior Brothers, count me in this time."
