The roof leaked, they didn't have enough food, and after spending half the day turning over the soil, they still had to guard against monsters prowling around at night.
When Chu Zihang arrived with a caravan, Lu Mingfei finally felt that there was hope for a better life.
He still wanted to find Caesar and Erii. Once they were all together, they could take on some commissions, earn a little money, fix up the house, and explore the world whenever they had time.
