Searching for a Ferry Through the Mist

[Love and Hate] [Alternate Setting] [Gang] [Happy Ending]

Xu Yan was the shadow raised by Lord Xuan, the head of the Yuanduo Jin Society.

Every shadow bore a tattoo called the "Flying Kite."

Once the poison in their body took hold and killed them, the kite would change color.

On Lord Xuan's orders, she laid her plans step by step, secretly nudging events along and stoking Qi Yue's ambition to seize control of the Yuanduo Jin Society.

But as one conspiracy after another came to light, a shocking secret emerged:

Qi Yue was Lord Xuan's illegitimate son, hidden away for years.

The game was set long ago. So who was a pawn in whose hands?

Content warning: The leads have no feelings for each other at first. The heroine initially loves the second male lead. Only after he dies does she slowly fall in love with the hero, but mutual suspicion drives them farther and farther apart.
