You Asked for a Rules Horror Story, So Why Are You Farming Ghosts for XP?

[Rule-based horror + infinite-instance progression + eerie livestream + mildly terrifying + power fantasy + male lead's bizarre antics]

The Eerie descends, invading reality. Every young person must take part in a compulsory lottery and enter a [Ghost Exam Instance]!

Lin Ye is selected for the Ghost Exam ten times in a row, and rejected by death ten times in a row.

The entire school, teachers and students alike, are convinced he cheated. He's forced to “volunteer” for the S-rank instance with a 100% death rate, The Yandere Haunted Dorm.

His entire class cheers as they send the jinx away, while the whole internet tunes in to watch him die.

But then

[All-Purpose Ghost-Hunting System activated!]

He rips apart yandere female ghosts. In rule-based instances that leave humanity helpless, Lin Ye treats the female ghosts like experience points to farm.

He ignores the rules, and the instance's will is so scared it goes out of its way to avoid him!

One casual glance is all it takes for the ferocious [Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox] to turn into a lovestruck fangirl.

While humanity's chosen champions are chased by water ghosts, running for their lives, Lin Ye snores away on a hospital bed!

The whole internet goes wild: “Is this really a death instance? Is this guy here on vacation?!”

“They sent you in to die, and you went in to stock up?!”

“If the rules say not to do something, that means the Eerie is afraid of it.”

“Come on, Xiao Jiu, let's go ghost-hunting!”

The ghosts all break down in tears: “Which one of us is the real monster here?!!!”
