An '80s College Student Makes a Fortune by Sewing Clothes with the Sign-In System

Xu Yingzhen gets into the Provincial Light Industry College, and her family all say she has a bright future ahead.

But a dream shows her another possible fate: her cousin Song Qiaoyun builds a fortune from her clothing business and opens a shop, while Xu Yingzhen drafts patterns and rushes to fill orders behind the scenes, staying up late to work the sewing machine. When customers come looking, though, they ask, "Is Master Qiaoyun here?"

The day she wakes from the dream, she puts on an old skirt she altered herself and heads to the department store, where she lands an order for twelve skirts before anyone else can. A sign-in System binds to her at that very moment, granting her cash and pattern-making skills.

She uses the deposit to buy fabric, then cuts and sells the clothes herself. Her younger sister gets a new skirt, and her mother gets a blouse that doesn’t strain her shoulders while she works. The patterns she draws make their way into a garment factory, and the supply and marketing cooperative comes to her to discuss business.

Starting with twelve skirts, she’ll turn the old sewing machine at home into a clothing shop bearing her own name.
