[Harry Potter] The Dark Lord Wants to Quit Again Today

[No CP] [Snape-Centered]

On the day Severus Snape died, he thought he was finally free.

Then he opened his eyes to find Bellatrix kneeling beside his bed, crying and calling him Master.

Even more absurdly, the whole world remembered the Dark Lord's name as Severus Snape.

Voldemort, who had killed him, had vanished, but history still had to play out as usual. The timeline dragged him back from death and forced him onto the Dark Lord's throne. The prophecy had to come true, the war had to be fought, and the turning point at Godric's Hollow could not be avoided.

Snape: I risked my life in my last one to kill Voldemort, and now you want me to take over his job?!

On his first day at work, he tried to run away, but the road collapsed. On his second day, he tried to die, but failed, and earned a reputation for being unfathomable. On his third day, fifty Death Eaters knelt before him, waiting for his first command.

Snape: Kill me. Right now.

Many years later, the Wizarding World was orderly under the rule of a Dark Lord.

Snape sat on the throne, reviewing documents and submitting his resignation for the 108th time.

The Death Eaters knelt across the floor, their wails shaking the heavens: "Master! The world can't go on without you!!!"

Snape closed his eyes.

He had protected everything he wanted to protect. Everything except his time off.
