[Transformation + no romance + universally adored + friendship + comedy + mostly slice of life]
The day Lin Yi awakened his powers, the testing machine sounded twice.
First: "Grade C: Equipment Manufacturing." The whole room applauded. At least it was a combat-support ability.
Second: "???: ?????" The machine fell silent. So did the instructor. Then the whole room went quiet.
Then the machine said, "Unable to identify. Ignoring it."
Lin Yi: "??? What do you mean, 'ignore it'?!"
From then on, he became the most inconspicuous Grade C equipment maker at the Esper Academy, making wrenches, repairing gear, and handling logistics for his teammates from the rear every day.
One day, his team was chased all over the mountains by savage beasts. He hid behind a tree and secretly transformed. Starlight glittered, a dress appeared, and beneath the mask was the most elegant magical girl in the whole place.
