When the global servers of Eternal Realm open, Lin Yao uses a limited-edition Pioneer Terminal and unexpectedly gains the only hidden race, the [Radiant Eclipsed], unlocking two main classes. Deep in an uncharted ravine, he also encounters a black hatchling dragon being hunted.
While everyone else rushes to get the first kill, farm gear, and build guilds, Lin Yao discovers that something about this world is increasingly wrong.
NPCs hold grudges, make choices, and refuse players; hidden cities have their own laws; and magical pets are far more than a string of stats on a screen.
And the strangest part is
The swordsmanship he uses in the game is starting to come naturally to him in real life.
The senses he has in the game remain with him after he logs out.
Even the hatchling dragon he named "Jinxing" is gradually developing emotions, choices, and a will of its own.
While everyone still believes Eternal Realm is merely a groundbreaking virtual world, Lin Yao has begun to consider another question:
If the power from the game can enter the real world...
What about the lives inside the game?
Until one day.
In a real-world laboratory, a familiar pair of dragon eyes slowly opens.
Lin Yao looks at the hatchling dragon that shouldn't exist in this world and softly calls its name.
"Jinxing."
It lifts its head.
It recognizes him.
