The male protagonist transmigrates into the world of Dream of the Red Chamber as Jia Po, a collateral descendant of the Jia family, only to be framed by Jia Zhen and exiled to a freezing border garrison.
Fortunately, he receives help from a System, unlocking Xiang Yu's combat prowess and command abilities. He can also give Qin Keqing, You Shi, and Jia Yuanchun exclusive diary copies, letting them glimpse his past and deepest obsessions.
Jia Po performs a miracle in his very first battle, defeating the Later Jin cavalry with infantry and killing the Later Jin's sixteenth prince in battle. Then he lays an ambush overnight, crushes fifty thousand enemy troops, and kills Chu Ying, heir to the Later Jin throne, earning an unprecedented feat of arms.
The news of his victory, which overturns the course of the war, reaches the capital, but sparks controversy at court. Officials who favor peace seek to hold him responsible and punish him, while his strength quietly rewrites both the tragedy of Dream of the Red Chamber and the course of the border war.
