With the scriptures retrieved and nothing to do, Sun Wukong was bored out of his mind. He tore through a rift in time and space and stepped right into the world of Dream of the Red Chamber.
He saw a young woman crying every day and coughing up blood every night. Anger flared in his heart. "Why should a young lady have to suffer like this?"
With a single swing, he smashed the window of Xiaoxiang House, and shattered the fate written for her.
From then on, Lin Daiyu traveled with Sun Wukong.
They went to Flower-Fruit Mountain to eat immortal peaches, then to the world of Journey to the West to sass Tang Sanzang and tease Zhu Bajie.
They went to the modern world to eat hot pot, drink milk tea, and take couple photos.
They went to Antarctica to see the aurora and to the Amazon to catch butterflies...
Sun Wukong taught her the Seventy-Two Transformations, and she taught him to read poetry.
"Little sister, your poems are even more impressive than Old Sun's Golden Cudgel."
"Great Sage, can your cudgel shatter fate?"
"It can! If you believe in Old Sun, then Old Sun can do anything."
This is a journey across time and space. She teaches him tenderness, and he teaches her not to be afraid.
Sweetness with a touch of angst, angst with a touch of sweetness. You'll laugh until you want to cry, then cry until you want to laugh.
And in the end... they live a shamelessly happy life together!
