The Bitter Tuo Immortal Path

Heaven and earth have two kinds of incense offerings.

One is burned for the gods, seeking blessings in return. The other is burned for the dead, fed by resentment.

The Bitter Crossing Sect cultivates the second kind. They do not worship immortals or practice qi. They feed solely on the resentment, hatred, and unfinished obsessions in a dying person's final breath. Their path is swift, astonishingly swift, but it is also vile, so vile that the Heavenly Dao erased them from the world eight hundred years ago. Their mountain gates were razed, their ancestral graves plowed under, and not a single stick of incense was allowed to remain.

Yet the roots of the Bitter Crossing Sect took hold in the blood of a mortal with no spiritual roots.

His name is Gu Changdu, a village doctor.

From that day on, every day he lives is stolen.

In this world, ten great sects stand across the land, with the righteous and the wicked each holding their own territory.

The Buddha is merciful. But is the Blood-Drinking Buddha not also a divine being who guides souls through the long ages?
