The climate control network, which uses human-operated AGI and supercomputers to suppress typhoons, torrential rain, and storms, has been commercially available for over a decade. Beneath the appearance of "cold peace," the energy being held back has never disappeared. Instead, each nation has pushed it into the future through "deferrals, rollovers, and adjustments." The protagonist, Chen Mo, is bound to an "Ark System" of unknown origin and gains a countdown to Day D, along with the ability to earn credit points by "making predictions and saving people."
