He transmigrates as the Chongzhen Emperor, with the countdown to the dynasty's fall already underway from the start.
Zhu Youjian looks at the treacherous officials filling his court and Hong Taiji looming outside the city, then silently opens the [Son of Heaven's Military Office].
Three hundred elite soldiers, absolutely loyal and answering only to his command.
From then on, the court of the Ming Dynasty changes completely.
Civil official: "Your Majesty, this goes against our ancestral laws..."
Behind Zhu Youjian, an armored soldier draws his blade a fraction of an inch. "His Majesty asks you: does it or doesn't it?"
Military general: "My soldiers only obey military tallies..."
Zhu Youjian lays out a new roster. "Now they obey my banner."
He doesn't rush to court to listen to all that nonsense. Instead, he first takes his troops to bring back those who need bringing home, distribute the silver that needs distributing, and kill the corrupt officials who need killing.
While everyone else is still playing political games at court, he has already led this absolutely loyal imperial guard beyond the passes.
They want to make me a puppet, but I'll take back this realm with my imperial guard!
