War of Resistance: Hard Work Pays Off, Rising from the Ranks

Su Jie transmigrated to 1937, a year of raging war. He crossed the Yellow River north with his unit to fight the Japanese invaders and became bound to the Heaven Rewards the Diligent System. He could earn skill points by killing enemies or training.

As he continued killing Japanese invaders, Su Jie finally understood that “Heaven rewards the diligent” meant diligently killing the enemy.

So Su Jie went on a killing spree, starting as an ordinary soldier. People of conviction, including Li Chishui, Wang Gensheng, Lin Shuisheng, Zhou Weiguo, Yan Shuangying, Fang Tianyi, and Duan Peng, joined him after hearing about him, and together they formed an army of iron and blood.

Su Jie rose through the ranks, from squad leader to platoon leader, company commander, battalion commander, brigade commander, and division commander.

He fought the Japanese invaders and later in the Korean War, earning distinguished military honors. By the time he received his rank, he had become a formidable, iron-blooded general.
