Back then, there was always an antisocial girl in the old music building who locked herself inside after school, drumming until dark. She never took part in class activities, and always had a fierce look in her eyes.
Even after running into her many times, I still knew nothing about her story. We'd never even had a proper conversation.
And yet, one evening, for no reason at all, I became incredibly interested in her.
What kinds of things could someone like her be interested in? With that thought in mind, I inexplicably began showing up in every corner where she practiced.
After that, we grew closer. Sometimes we passed the time together in the old music building, or went out for ramen and listened to her talk about that really, really good vocalist in her band.
I stayed by her side through Crychic's brilliance and its collapse, and through all those silent nights...
I thought that was enough. But then...
