Chen Yiyi is a beautiful Asian orphan. His biggest problem in life is figuring out how to get rid of all the people who lust after him.
After growing up and moving out of the orphanage, he begins having the same dream over and over. A whisper keeps echoing in his ear: "Come home, my wife."
Chen Yiyi wakes in a cold sweat, only to face an increasing number of strange occurrences in his life: wallpaper soaked in an unidentified red liquid, and a creaking sound from the closet, as though someone were scraping at it with their fingernails.

A TV report says that a string of murders has taken place in his hometown of Greenpine, and the killer still hasn't been found.
One bold, unsigned love letter after another slips through the crack beneath his door. Chen Yiyi discovers that they all contain the same line: I'm waiting for you in Greenpine.
Not long afterward, a funeral invitation brings Chen Yiyi back to Greenpine.
The murders continue in town, and Chen Yiyi thinks he might be next.
But late one night, the killer brushes past him and lets him go, then tenderly wipes the tears of fear from his face.
In the forest near town, a handsome, warm-hearted duke invites him to dinner at his beautiful manor. Chen Yiyi gladly accepts.
The moment he steps across the manor's boundary, a sigh rustles through the woods.
