Lu Xiu has worked as an elevator repairman for six years and fixed half the elevators in the city. What he fears most isn't working at heights, but night-shift work orders.
The elevator in Building 3 of an old residential complex makes an extra stop in the middle of the night. When the doors open, there's a floor that doesn't exist on the blueprints. At the end of the corridor hangs a sign: Building 3 Elevator Maintenance Department. The repair notes in the logbook grow more and more bizarre: something is caught in the door mechanism, someone is ringing the alarm inside the elevator car, and the elevator descends underground by itself on the surveillance footage.
The last repairman who worked on this elevator has disappeared.
Lu Xiu doesn't believe in the supernatural. Not until he discovers that the maintenance mode he activates lets him see the elevator's true faults: things that shouldn't exist are crawling out of the building, bit by bit.
I'm an elevator repairman. That extra floor in this building is my responsibility.
