A Sweetheart Transmigrates into an 80s Novel, Marries a Rough Army Commander, and Gets Doted on Like Crazy

Tao Zhizhi transmigrates into a book, becoming the doomed cannon-fodder female character in an eighties-era novel.

In the original story, her parents arrange a marriage swap, making her marry Lu Zheng, a cold-faced battalion commander, in place of their adopted daughter, Qin Wan. Lu Zheng only has eyes for Qin Wan. She spends ten years in a loveless marriage, then freezes to death on a snowy night at the border.

On the very first day after transmigrating, Tao Zhizhi has a plan in mind:

She can marry him, wait three years until Lu Zheng falls for Qin Wan, then ask for a divorce, take the money, and run.

So she pretends to be sweet, weak, and invisible.

When others curry favor with Lu Zheng, she keeps her distance.

When others try to get close to him, she runs.

While others fight to become the battalion commander's wife, she spends every day figuring out how to write a divorce petition.

Everyone in the compound laughs at her for being foolish. How could she still be unsatisfied after marrying Lu Zheng?

But Lu Zheng only has eyes for her.

The more she avoids him, the more he pursues her.

The more she tries to run, the less he lets her go.

The day she hands him the divorce petition...

Lu Zheng pins her in a corner, his voice low and husky. "You're married to me, and you still want to run?"

Tao Zhizhi: ??? That's not how the plot was supposed to go!
